Born and raised in upstate New York, Mark Owen Pritchard studied music at the State University of New York at Potsdam. In 1981, as a graduate student, he accepted a teaching assistantship at the University of Southwestern Louisiana School of Music. Mark enrolled in the USL School of Architecture three years later and after graduating, opened his own design practice.
Since then, Mark has designed homes and places of business for many of the area's most discerning residents. He is committed to the continuous study of historic and regional architecture, while keeping up to date with the latest developments in design and construction. A champion of the "new old house" and the "traditional neighborhood development," he has built more than fifty projects in The Village of River Ranch, Lafayette, including the New Orleans French Quarter-style building that houses his office.
